As well as completing the contract for Western Power this month, we have also undertaken a job for Ben Bailey Homes on behalf of BBGE.

The contact consisted of:

  • The installation of 400l/m of the Stent House Foundation pre-cast foundation system

PCL completed the job in 2 weeks, a testament to the work ethics of the team on such an enclosed site. PCL undertook and completed the job in a safe, controlled and professional manner. Our client was satisfied with the manner in which we undertook the job as well as the finished article and completion by PCL.

Local groundworks company, Principal Contracting Limited have recently finished working on the new Costa Coffee outlet on Chilwell Retail Park on behalf of building contractors Marshalls. PCL were hired by Marshalls to complete the labour, plant and materials for the project. As per usual, PCL completed the work in a professional and efficient and manner with Health and Safety being at the forefront of all their work. With the retail park being open to the public whilst the work was being completed, PCL were able to adapt to the constraints and complete the work on time showing vast experience in dealing with such environments.

The site manager was full of praise for their work and “would have no hesitation in working with them in the future” so hopefully this would be the first of many jobs PCL will complete for Marshalls.

Principal Contracting work with Stent House Foundations

Posted: July 26, 2013 at 10:23 am

We have recently completed some work on behalf of Stent House Foundations for one of the UK’s biggest House builders, Morris Homes. PCL were awarded 2 jobs for Morris Homes, one in Oldbury and the other in Peterborough. Both involved the Stent House Foundation pre-cast foundation system of which PCL are approved installers.

We managed under very challenging conditions to complete both contracts before the scheduled program date and to budget, PCL again producing some top class Civil Engineering and we are hoping that the great working relationship between SHF and PCL will continue for many years to come.

Principal Contracting Limited work with Lafarge Tarmac at Mountsorrel Quarry

PCL - Lafarge Tarmac Contract - Principal Contracting

Lafarge/Tarmac at Mountsorrel Quarry have recently sent plenty of work our way.

The work that has been set involves PCL going through the installation of various concrete paths and concrete hard stand areas. The UK’s leading construction materials and services company have also asked us to undertake 2 no road crossings which are now completed and had to be undertaken during the busy periods on site, PCL have also completed the installation of 300mm diameter ducts to carry the fuel lines. All the jobs set were tough but when the environment is cheerful and people around are happy to help it makes the job a heck of a lot easier and that’s exactly what all the staff at Mountsorrel were. I can honestly say in 4 years as a limited company we have never come across a group of people as helpful as the people at Mountsorrel, it was a pleasure to work for them. More work has been quoted so we all have our fingers crossed this will be ongoing.
