We have recently completed some work on behalf of Stent House Foundations for one of the UK’s biggest House builders, Morris Homes. PCL were awarded 2 jobs for Morris Homes, one in Oldbury and the other in Peterborough. Both involved the Stent House Foundation pre-cast foundation system of which PCL are approved installers.
We managed under very challenging conditions to complete both contracts before the scheduled program date and to budget, PCL again producing some top class Civil Engineering and we are hoping that the great working relationship between SHF and PCL will continue for many years to come.
The list of jobs we have completed for HMP/Serco in Nottingham is ever increasing. This work was fulfilled during weekends and out of hours because of the area in which Principal Contracting Limited were working. We are very proud to be doing work for HMP/Serco in Nottingham and we’re positive that due to the professional attitude and quality of work that PCL produce, there will be a lot more work coming through from them. Watch this space.
Lafarge/Tarmac at Mountsorrel Quarry have recently sent plenty of work our way.
The work that has been set involves PCL going through the installation of various concrete paths and concrete hard stand areas. The UK’s leading construction materials and services company have also asked us to undertake 2 no road crossings which are now completed and had to be undertaken during the busy periods on site, PCL have also completed the installation of 300mm diameter ducts to carry the fuel lines. All the jobs set were tough but when the environment is cheerful and people around are happy to help it makes the job a heck of a lot easier and that’s exactly what all the staff at Mountsorrel were. I can honestly say in 4 years as a limited company we have never come across a group of people as helpful as the people at Mountsorrel, it was a pleasure to work for them. More work has been quoted so we all have our fingers crossed this will be ongoing.
House building giants Strata Homes have appointed Principal Contracting Ltd to commence work immediately on the 3rd phase of their development of detached and semi-detached houses and apartment blocks at it’s latest development in Hull.
The foundations will be pre-cast foundations laid by PCL and is approximately 1000 linear meters in length. The project is set to take up t 4 weeks to finish and the deadlines set by Strata are certainly achievable for the team at PCL. This is not the first time the two companies have worked together having instructed PCL to work on several of their earlier projects as well as laying foundations for many other developments in Hull and the surrounding areas.
We’ll keep you posted on how the work progresses over the next few weeks and will hopefully have some pictures to show you once the job is complete.
